Scene: West Hollywood, traffic, sunset smokers, Late 20th Century

The inside walls of an aging midcentury home caked in layers of pea soup paint

like a slow calcification. Inside this stucco rental lives The Odalisque is a witch/ woman/alien sent to earth to find water for her native planet. The Odalisque looks like a young woman but is older than the mountains. She is quiet, she rages, she waits. She teamed up with coyotes and the mosquitos, she enlisted the alley cats and eagles. She asked all the punks and guitars to come to the coronation club. When the party begins, her magic fills every cup.
